바람은 불어 오고  바람은 불어 가고 바람은 지나가고  자자지고 ,  다시 바람은 인다.

그 모든것이 그렇다

 

 

 

 

After Death

The curtains were half drawn, the floor was swept
    And strewn with rushes, rosemary and may

He leaned above me, thinking that I slept
    And could not hear him; but I heard him say:

    That hid my face, or take my hand in his,
      Or ruffle the smooth pillows for my head:
      He did not love me living; but once dead

            죽은 뒤

커튼이 반쯤 걷혀 있고 청소한 마루에는
   골풀이 뿌려져 있었다. 로즈메리와 산사나무꽃
   내가 누운 침대 위에 두텁게 깔려 있고
문창살로 담쟁이 그림자들 기어갔다.
그가 내 위에 몸을 구부렸다. 내가 잠들어
   그의 말 듣지 못하는 줄 알았지만 내겐 그의 말이 들렸다.
    "불쌍한 것, 불쌍한 것;" 그가 돌아서고 나자
깊은 침묵이 흘렀고, 나는 그가 우는 걸 알았다.
그는 수의를 만지거나 내 얼굴을 가린 천을
   들어올리지 않았고 내 손을 쥐지도 않았으며
     내 머리를 누인 반듯한 베개는  주름지지 않았다.
     살아 있을 때 그는 날 사랑하지 않았다. 이제 죽고 나니
   나를 불쌍히 여겼다; 마음이 아주 좋다.
나는 차갑지만 그가 아직 따뜻한 걸 알게 되니.
